WebDev – Junior Front-End Web Developer 2080 views

Webdev has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Junior Web Designer / Front-End Developer. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to apply their skills to a diverse portfolio of small-to-medium level client accounts.

About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of website design and frontend development, as well as updating and maintaining existing websites. This position requires working directly with the Clients and to collaborate with the project coordinator and other team members to ensure all project requirements are met. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, team-based environment, and must be comfortable with completing the following tasks:

• Design websites in Photoshop
• Convert Photoshop designs into HTML/CSS/JS
• Setup WordPress installations and templates
• Perform regular maintenance of managed websites
• Perform website updates upon client request, including development of new features and design elements
• Continuously monitor managed websites’ performance and security

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will possess certificate training in Graphic/Web Design or related field and a strong background in the following skills:
• Strong working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/MySQL
• Adobe creative suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and wireframing & prototyping tools.
• WordPress
• Understanding of web trends, standards, best practices, usability, and user experience
• Basic understanding of CMS platforms
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
• Experience with responsive web development
