Responsible for installation and maintenance of Radio Communications Network systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of traffic signal infrastructure, CCTV and electronic equipment.
  • Configuration and programming of PLC and microprocessor based traffic controllers.
  • Implements planned preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Attends traffic signal faults and performs diagnosis and electrical repairs.
  • Attends to power suppliers, inverters and solar backup equipment.
  • Assembly of PLC and microprocessor-based traffic controllers.
  • Modifies traffic signaling systems when necessary.
  • Trains apprentices and students on attachments.
  • Implements safety and health policies as per Factories and Works Acts.
  • Supervises subordinates.

Requirements

  • Minimum National Certificate in Electronic Engineering (Instrumentation and Control) with 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Certification in PLCs and microprocessor programming added advantage.
  • Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
  • 5 ‘O’ Level passes.
