Key Responsibilities

Conducting daily site inspections of Backbone Fibre works.
Checking route diagrams against actual works on the ground to ensure alignment with approved plans.
Verifying As-Built drawings against Detailed Designs and identifying any discrepancies.
Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
Liaising and coordinating with relevant stakeholders on site.
Identifying and reporting construction, routing or design deviations.
Preparing and submitting accurate site inspection and progress reports.
Maintaining proper records of site observations, inspections and identified discrepancies.
Escalating technical and operational issues requiring management attention.
Performing any other duties relevant to the position as assigned.

Requirements

Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Practical experience in AutoCAD is required.
Practical experience with GIS is required.
Experience in fibre infrastructure, telecommunications, civil works or related site supervision will be an added advantage.
Class 4 Driver’s Licence is required.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, route diagrams and site plans.
Good communication, stakeholder-management and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently, conduct field inspections and identify discrepancies accurately.
Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
