Astra Industries – Plascon Zimbabwe, as part of its strategic repositioning, invites applications for the role of Sales Consultant – Trade Business (Paints), based at Astra Paints Harare and reporting to the Sales Manager Northern Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement sales and marketing strategies
- Drive growth in product sales, customer base, and profitability
- Develop and review sales control systems
- Promote the full range of paints products and acquire new customers
- Identify customer needs and align solutions with company offerings
- Engage customers across all corporate sales programmes
- Conduct product seminars, clinics, and presentations
- Monitor stock and support product distribution
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer-focused role within the Trade business market
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking, scenario planning, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage and resolve potentially volatile situations
- Sales/Marketing higher diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of mining chemical products (advantageous)
- Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to engage at all levels
- Confident presenter with professional presence and listening skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Strong report writing, collaboration, and networking skills
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving capability
