Regional Coordinator – Africa (Based in Harare)
Job Description
This is your opportunity to join Baker Tilly’s Global team. As an ambitious and enthusiastic Regional Coordinator, you will help unlock the potential for our Africa region by providing support towards a broad range of strategic, operational, business development and marketing-related activities. Working closely with the Regional Manager for Europe. Middle East and Africa, and the African Co-ordination Committee Chairman, main objective will be coordinating and delivering a balance of strategic and operational actions You will have exposure to international experience by reporting to London, but also regional experience working with our network’s Africa member firms (currently 25 territories and growing). From time to time, you will be required to travel to different parts of Africa and to the UK.
Key Performance Areas Supporting the day to day operations of the African region
- Assisting the implementation of the Africa regional strategic plan
- Helping with the co-ordination of the annual Africa conference
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with network member firms
- Strengthening the level of collaboration between member firms and engagement with the Global team
- Raising the profile of Baker Tilly International in Africa through various marketing channels and supporting member firms with social media/other communications
- Other ad-hoc duties required by the Global Office
Education and Qualifications
- Degree in Business Development, Marketing or equivalent and relevant qualification
Key Skills: - 10+ years’ experience in business development and marketing, preferably within a professional service organisation.
- Experience in event-management
- An outgoing, positive personality with a willingness to learn and an ability to create new ideas
- Collaborative skills to work in a team and discipline to focus when working independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with new people
- Ability to follow instructions and provide regular progress updates to management
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong English proficiency (French, Portuguese, Other is an added advantage)
