We are a small highly specialised IT Company in Zimbabwe looking for a Sales Development Representative / Sales & Marketing Consultant or Analyst to join our dynamic, sales team. The position is completely remote work. The positions’ primary role will be to support our business development efforts initially in Zimbabwe and then expanding into Southern Africa, Africa and the rest of the world.
Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are a critical part of our business development team. The primary goal is to identify new prospects, qualify leads and market our service offering. The SDR also acts as a liaison between product support, business development and clients.
The SDR is a people-person, genuinely curious and interested in helping our clients find solutions to their business problems and derive value from our services. They are personable, friendly, and professional, with a passion for new lead generation and management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Outbound Lead Generation and Qualification – Research potential clients, connect with and educate prospects, and qualify leads to identify if they are truly a good prospect for our services before connecting them with them.
- Inbound Lead Qualification – Respond to initial inquiries, qualify lead, educate prospects about the product or service and schedule meetings with your BDM(s).
- Lead Management – Manage all lead activity and maintain accurate records.
- Marketing Support – Follow up on all marketing efforts (I.e., newsletters, targeting marketing campaigns, webinars, tradeshows/events, etc.) to generate interest in our services.
- Track, Meet, Exceed Assigned Metrics – (# of emails and phone calls, # of scheduled meetings and # opportunities created).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualifications in marketing, market research, sales, communications, business development or business administration are preferred but not necessarily a must
- 1-2 years of successful experience in sales, market research, consulting, marketing or other related field will be an added advantage
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Shona and Ndebele and any other native African languages also a plus.
- Positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, tenacity, drive and a friendly personality.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently in a virtual office or hybrid work environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, LinkedIn, any CRM/Marketing tool.
- Active listener with superb communication skills.
- Empathetic with the ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely, and have open conversations with prospective clients.
