ORGANIZATION NAME: City of Harare

Responsible for the administration of Property Development Unit (PDU) and all Council capital construction and maintenance projects to ensure successful completion of construction projects and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors progress of capital projects in terms of agreed contract and targets for sister departments in Council.
  • Ensures quality and quantity control on capital and maintenance projects.
  • Implements loss control measures on building projects.
  • Liaises with other sections, divisions and departments concerning maintenance works.
  • Ensures the health and safety of employees and contractors on project sites.
  • Performance management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience of which four years must be at a Foreman level.
  • A clean class 4 Driver’s Licence.
  • A qualification in Project Management is an added advantage.
