Project Officer

Job purposeA local NGO based in Harare is looking for a Project Officer to support the Programmes Team at its offices. This post requires a skilled self-starter with experience in implementing HIV prevention, treatment and care programmes for adults and young people including livelihoods, with an above average knowledge and experience in managing Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights and Child Protection programmes. He/she will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of the programme in and around Harare.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in social or health sciences, public health, or related social science field is preferred.• A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences or related field is an added advantage• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of HIV prevention, SRHR, Adolescent & Youth development, and Child Protection. • Knowledge of National Strategic Plans on HIV/STIs, Child Protection, Gender Programming and SRHR issues in Zimbabwe. • Comprehensive capacity in the design and implementation of HIV, SRHR, Child Protection and Gender Programmes. • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Word, Power Point and Excel)• Demonstrated experience in capacity building, report writing and documentation• Proven independent research monitoring and evaluation experience• Experience with programme activity budgeting and financial programme management• Proven expertise facilitating collaborative work with stakeholders at community level, working with local leadership leaders with a core focus on families and child protection• Solid background in information and knowledge management with excellent oral and written communication skills• Class 4 driver’s license – Defensive drivers’ license
