Person Specifications- Minimum Requirements

Five Ordinary level passes including English languageA degree in procurement and Supply Chain Management or equivalentPost Graduate Diploma or any relevant qualification in Procurement and Supply management is an added advantageNot less than 2 years post qualification experience in a similar positionValid membership of Valid Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)or any registered procurement bodyA clean class 4 driver’s licence will be an added advantageFirm knowledge of procurement Legislation and all other pertinent regulationsComputer literate

Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the council in line with the Procurement Laws and other relevant regulationsPreparation and maintain of the annual procurement plan for councilPreparing periodic reports for the Accounting OfficerMaintaining records on all procurement proceedings and related mattersPreparation of bidding documents in compliance with relevant legislationAny other duties as assigned by the accounting officerInterested candidates should submit their handwritten applications, attach copies of certified academic and professional qualifications addressed to The Secretary not later than 05 April 2019
