The successful candidate should be a professional of high integrity, be able to deliver a change management strategy, embrace technology and new ways of working.
This individual will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
The Job Involves
- Delivering best in class healthcare to every patient visiting our hospitals.
- Establishing and maintaining nursing care that is patient centric, compassionate and that delivers the best medical outcomes.
- A clear understanding of the correlation between nursing care and the financial performance of our hospitals.
- Performance management of all staff in your care.
- Developing departmental goals and objectives.
- Developing and leading the implementation of quality improvement nursing strategies in the hospital.
- Organising, directing, and coordinating medical and health services in compliance with all the regulatory authorities and in accordance with the company’s policies.
- Developing and implementing patient safety systems and processes.
- Monitoring and preventing the spread of communicable diseases through infection control measures.
- Engaging with doctors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction for all.
- Improving efficiency and quality in delivering healthcare services.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising staff members.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits.
- Managing the hospital’s training school.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Nursing Sciences
- Diploma in Nursing Administration
- Diploma in any post basic qualification
- Diploma in Registered General Nursing
- 5-10 years’ experience in a hospital managerial position
- Master of Business Administration an added advantage
