Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance. Drive equipment availability, reduce breakdowns, optimize spares usage, and standardise maintenance practices to support uninterrupted production. (Note: This role reports to the Operations Executive and leads maintenance planning across all manufacturing plants in the Northern Region, Harare).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules across all plants.
- Implement and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance aligned to OEM standards.
- Analyse breakdown data, identify root causes, and reduce repeat failures and downtime.
- Coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, and major repairs with Production and Operations teams.
- Plan spare parts requirements, standardise spares, and minimise stock-outs and emergency buys.
- Maintain accurate CMMS records, job cards, equipment registers, and maintenance history.
- Compile maintenance reports and track KPIs.
- Coordinate plant engineers, supervisors, stores, procurement, and production teams.
- Ensure compliance with SHE, food safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance planning, preferably in FMCG or food processing.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment, preventive maintenance systems, and spare parts management.
- Proficiency in CMMS, Excel, and maintenance reporting tools.
- Strong planning, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work across multiple sites and regions.
