Qualifications and Experience

• Recognized apprenticeship in relevant trade (Mechanical Engineering/Fitting Turning)
• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Power generation experience is an added advantage
• 4 years post apprenticeship experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carries out routine site monitoring inspections
• Works with subcontractor employees on the project
• Mends test-run of plants/ equipment
• Imparts technical skills to apprentices, trainees and semi-skilled personnel.
• Inspects quality of Project Mechanical Installations
• Conducts routine inspections of mechanical installations
• Carries out hazard identification and risk assessments for project critical activities
• Attends to equipment commissioning and test runs
• Generates reports and tracks non-conformances
