A company with sites in Bulawayo and Harare is seeking to recruit a Land Surveyor with strong experience in construction, civil works, and road construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing surveying operations, ensuring accurate site measurements, and supporting project teams in delivering infrastructure and construction projects according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and supervise topographic, cadastral, and construction site surveys
Perform setting out for buildings, roads, and civil infrastructure works
Use modern surveying equipment such as GPS, Total Stations, drones, and theodolites to collect and verify data
Prepare and interpret survey drawings, maps, and technical reports
Ensure accurate site layouts, boundaries, and levels in accordance with engineering designs
Monitor site progress and provide survey control during construction
Calculate volumes and quantities for earthworks and materials
Identify and resolve discrepancies in survey data and site measurements
Work closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and architects
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Degree in Land Surveying or related field
9+ years of relevant experience in land surveying within construction, civil engineering, and road projects
Proficiency in surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other mapping tools
Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and modern data collection techniques
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Ability to lead survey teams and coordinate site activities
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors
