Prior experience in B2B sales, preferably in the petroleum or FMCG sector, is typically essential.

What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities of a Key Account Manager in Zimbabwe's energy sector?

You will manage relationships with corporate clients such as mining companies, transport fleets, and retail chains. Regular site visits and client meetings across Zimbabwe are common, requiring reliable transport and flexibility.

How does workplace culture and employer expectations differ in Zimbabwean sales roles compared to international standards?

Zimbabwean employers value personal relationships and trust-building with clients, often prioritizing face-to-face meetings over digital communication. Punctuality and professionalism are expected, though flexibility around infrastructure challenges like power outages is understood. Demonstrating loyalty and long-term commitment to the company is highly regarded in local corporate culture.
