Voices of Zimbabwe began in 2017 as a public opinion platform trying to better understand Zimbabweans. We are growing and working to build a community of informed, educated and critically engage Zimbabweans who dare to ask tough questions and demand answers. Our mission to amplify and connect marginalized voices.

We are seeking a passionate, resilient, curious, creative and responsible journalist. We are looking for a reporter who can marry strong traditional journalism skills – source building, sharp news judgment, interviewing prowess, strong analytical and investigative reporting, clear writing, document use – with online and social media know-how. Whatever the platform, our ideal candidate will produce content that is accompanied by perspective and context for a vibrant audience.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute both short and long form stories to our news products online in email, on mobile and in print.

Qualifications and experience

2 to 3 years of relevant journalistic experience is highly preferable, but we are open to dynamic individuals who are willing to learn and explore journalism; Skilled in clear and persuasive writing.
