Job Title: INNOVATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION MANAGER
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Zimpost’s digital transformation roadmap aligned with its mandate as a national postal, logistics and financial service provider
- Modernize end-to-end mail, parcel and courier processes through digital tools, automation and tracking technologies
- Integrate Zimpost platforms with e-government systems, e-commerce marketplaces and digital payment platforms
- Identify and evaluate new business models that support diversification
- Facilitate innovation workshops and design thinking sessions within Zimpost
- Drive data analytics adoption for operational insights, route optimization, customer feedback and revenue visibility
- Collaborate with other departments and ensuring digital solutions are secure, compliant with regulations and Data Protection Act
- Manage relationships with technology providers, payment gateways, ecommerce partners, logistics innovators and government agencies
- Coordinate with ministries, regulators and development partners supporting digital transformation
- Evaluate technology proposals and negotiate vendor contracts for cost effectiveness.
Requirements
- Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Innovation, Business Technology or related field
- Master’s Degree or MBA is an added advantage
- Professional certifications in digital transformation, project management (Agile, PMP, Prince2) or innovation is a MUST
- Experience and exposure in the financial sector
- Member of a recognized IT professional body
- 5-10 years working in IT, digital transformation, innovation or technology strategy roles
- Demonstrated experience leading system implementations, digital and e-channel deployments, or business process automation projects.
- Experience in POS and agency environments.
- Experience with logistics, government service delivery platforms, financial services, or customer-facing digital products is an advantage.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation across distributed networks (branches/stations) is highly desirable.
