ICT Officer

JOB TYPE: Fixed term contract

LOCATION: Harare

Specific duties include

1. Providing technical expertise for IT network design, implementation, optimization and upgrade.2. Monitoring the LAN/WAN network environment including routers, switches, firewalls, Internet access and software applications.3. Installation, configuration and maintenance of [Windows Servers, Linux and Cisco infrastructure] system network components.4. Performing troubleshooting and diagnosis to hardware/software network failures, and providing resolutions.5. Ensuring that ICT systems are operating effectively with minimal down time to avoid any disruptions to the Authority’s activities.6. Ensuring the smooth running of all application systems including email, internet and the organization’s website.7. Providing first line support for all departments and resolving queries quickly and proactively and helping users use systems correctly.8. Performing backups and data recovery procedures to ensure availability of needed information at all times.9. Ensuring that changes to application software are well documented for future reference.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Relevant ICT Degree2. 2-5 years relevant experience
