Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Finance and Administration functions.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Manage procurement, logistics, and administrative operations to support organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adequate distribution of resources within the Office of the Master.
  • Coordinate the drafting of annual budget for Finance and Administration.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly status reports to the Master of the High Court.
  • Oversee maintenance and security of all the Office’s assets e.g. vehicles and buildings.
  • Monitor and manage projects implementation in line with the strategic plan.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and talent development of Finance and Administration personnel of the Office.
  • Formulate and manage risk management policy, recurrent and capital budgeting and the designing of the internal control of the Finance and Administration department.
  • Report statutorily the financial performance of the Office and ensure compliance with Public Finance Management Act and other policy guidelines received from Treasury on a continuous basis.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (a Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting is a prerequisite).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CFE, CA, CIMA) is a must.
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Administration at senior executive management level.
  • A minimum of 5 years operational/administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, corporate governance, and administrative systems.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
