VACANCIES
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within the Mutoko Rural District Council.
The incumbent shall be reporting to the Civil Engineering Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in project planning and design.
- Participating in site supervision and monitoring construction work.
- Conducting site inspections.
- Compiling technical reports, site diaries and progress reports.
- Assisting in conducting road conditions survey and advises the Civil Engineer.
- Assisting in conducting sewer reticulation surveys and make recommendations.
- Provides input into the compilation of the Road and Works department budget (Capital and operational).
- Any other duty as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a 2.1 or better.
- Must be 25 years and below.
- Knowledge of core civil engineering principles.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials and engineering drawings.
- A clean Class (4) driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
