VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within the Mutoko Rural District Council.

The incumbent shall be reporting to the Civil Engineering Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in project planning and design.
Participating in site supervision and monitoring construction work.
Conducting site inspections.
Compiling technical reports, site diaries and progress reports.
Assisting in conducting road conditions survey and advises the Civil Engineer.
Assisting in conducting sewer reticulation surveys and make recommendations.
Provides input into the compilation of the Road and Works department budget (Capital and operational).
Any other duty as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a 2.1 or better.
Must be 25 years and below.
Knowledge of core civil engineering principles.
Basic understanding of construction methods, materials and engineering drawings.
A clean Class (4) driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
