Qualifications
• An Honors Degree in Accounting or any related field.• 2.1 Degree Class.• Below 25 years.• A professional qualification or working towards one would be an added advantage• Class 4 driving license would be an added advantage• Must be results driven and goal oriented
Responsibilities
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.• Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.• Summarises current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends.• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.• Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.• Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow• Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries• Examining expenses submitted by employees• Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing
