Key Responsibilities

• Machining Operations: Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines to manufacture parts from drawings and samples.
• Fitting: Perform fitting jobs including dismantling, repairing, and reassembling industrial gearboxes, pumps, and other equipment.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished work using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintenance: Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting on workshop machines and tooling.
• Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to workshop safety standards.

Requirements

• Qualified Fitter and Turner – Class 1 Journeyman certification required.
• Proven experience operating lathe machines, milling machines, and drilling machines.
• Hands-on experience with fitting and overhauling industrial gearboxes, pumps.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment.
