VACANCY
A vacancy has arisen in the Finance Department of a leading Bulawayo based Pension Fund and applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates.
DUTIES INCLUDE;
⦁ Analyse and correct postings from various sub modules done by various sub system users and then post into the ledger
⦁ Review the Trial Balance and timeously prepare periodic management and financial accounts
⦁ Research and recommend to management on best accounting practices continuously
⦁ Maintain debtor accounts continuously
⦁ Assist in the preparation and review of the budgets annually
⦁ Ensure timely production of audit schedules and attend to audit issues
⦁ Compile and submit statutory returns periodically or as and when required
⦁ Ensure that correct investment incomes due are received on time
⦁ Ensure that all payments made are correct, authentic and have all supporting documents
⦁ Check assets register as maintained by the Bookkeeper quarterly
⦁ Ensure that value and quantities of asset securities in custody and with counterparties agree with the Fund’s records at all times
⦁ Check and ensure that all bank reconciliations are done timeously
⦁ Check, record, analyse and report on quarterly investment transactions and asset manager reports monthly
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:
⦁ Possession of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
⦁ Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification in accounting or demonstrated evidence of working towards the requisite application
EXPERIENCE
⦁ At least 3 years’experience in a computerised accounting and finance environment
⦁ Supervisory experience is an added advantage
