Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and implementation of the company’s annual budget.
• Sound knowledge of public finance management requirements and processes.
• Responsible for the financial planning process of the company and monitors its performance against the strategic plan.
• Responsible for audit Liaison as well as relevant regulatory, taxation, legislative and statutory requirements.
• Develops and implements financial strategy across the business with a medium to long-term focus on the financial direction of the business.
• Influences business on corrective action required on identified risks within the business and enhances a safe internal control environment.
• Responsible for tax planning and advice to the business.
• Accountable for the preparation of financial reports and best record-keeping practices.
• Accountable for monthly management reports, including variance analysis and recommending corrective actions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent from a recognised University.
• A Master’s Degree in Accounting or Administration or Finance or Business management or equivalent from a recognised University is a must.
• Membership of either ACCA or ICAZ or ICAEW or SAICA or CPA or any other recognised professional body of Accountants.
• At least 10 years’ working experience with a minimum of 5 years at a managerial level.
• Experience in the public sector finance and accounting is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of the Aviation field will be an added advantage.
• Must be a registered Public Accountant.
• Be a citizen of Zimbabwe.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Capacity to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
• Proven track record in financial control and good corporate governance.
• Discretion and diplomacy.
