Environmental Health Manager

• Reporting to the Director of Housing and Community Services

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 ‘G Levels including English Language, Maths and a Science subject
• BSc In Environmental Health Honours in Public Health
• A post graduate qualification in Public Health Administration would be an added advantage
• Valid membership of the Health Professions Council of Zimbabwe
• A clean class 4 driver’s licence
• A minimum of four years experience in a similar position

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and management of the Public Health Section of Council in line with the enabling legislative framework
• Formulation, implementation and review of Public Health delivery policies, targets and programmes
• Supervise and appraise staff in tandem with the Results Based Management (RBM) strategy
• Preparation, control and monitoring of the Public Health and Environmental Services budget Submission of monthly report to the Health, Housing and Community Services Committee
• Any other duties that may be delegated by the Director of Housing and Community Services
