DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Senior ICT Engineer.
The folowing duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform al of the bsted duties and’or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address busness needs and chang*tg business practices.
⦁ Performs all duties necessary to ensure maxnum uptime and operating efficiencies of the Headend on a 24’7 basis and in a manner consistent with government policies, procedures, quafcty standards, and all applicable local and international regulations.
⦁ Maintain of al signal sources: satellite, broadcast TV antenna systems, fiber ASI. Base Band systems, and IP Ethernet feeds.
⦁ Operate various RF. video, and FM Radio lest equipment: spectrum analyzer, RF signal level meter, waveform monitor. MPEG Ana lyzer.
⦁ Respond to power, temperature and any emergency assigned in the SLAs defined for the department.
⦁ Maintenance and troubleshoot Headend and network equipments. Diagnosis & troubleshoot in Headend & distribution network issue.
⦁ Assist in the implementation of new technologies or services.
⦁ Designs and maintains all structured Wiring to ensure efficient data flow and organization in all facHies.
⦁ Supports basic configurations and is able to troubleshoot routine issues independently o Perform other duties as assigned.
⦁ Identify problem and recommend system nprovements to riprove technical performance and services.
⦁ Prepare Headend and service-related documentation.
⦁ Instant report to supervisor and key persons who are related r same working domain for major issues.
⦁ Establish and maintain active and constructive relationships with clients.
⦁ Remains calm under pressure and work independently.
⦁ Always ready and willing to accept additional respons*b*ties.
⦁ Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
⦁ BSc/BEng/BTec Engmeering r Computer. IT and Busmess Management. Telecom. IT or related field preferred, or equivalent training, education, and experience.
⦁ Strong Headend knowledge. RF. and MPEG and computer related skills necessary.
⦁ Mmwnum of 3 years related telecommunication mdustry or RF/Satellite experience required.
⦁ Strong and sound knowledge of Satellite TV broadcast. DVB- S2/T2 Technologies. MPEG. Headend. IP Networking, ISP
⦁ Exceient analytical, written, and oral communications skis.
⦁ Ab; ity to work mdependently to complete tasks as wel as «i a team envronment. Ability to perform multiple tasks, prioritize work/tasks, and work efficiently and effectively under deadfcnes.
⦁ AbHy to resolve network problems or infrastructure issues as well as manage performance and capacity issues.
⦁ AbHy to plan, install, and manage al aspects of a network to ensure highest performance levels on a 24’7 basts.
⦁ Knowledge of routing protocols and LAWMAN principles. Ethernet and fiber.
⦁ Knowledge of DC and AC power systems.
⦁ Knowledge of HVAC and AC systems.
