Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) is the leading generator at electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from Its five power stations.

The company is inviting suitably qualified, experienced and motivated persons to fill the following vacancies that have arisen at Head Office in the Supply Chain department

Contracts Planner

The Position

The major responsibility of this role is to develop plans on contracts as guided by the ZPC procurement plan ensuring that requirements are processed as planned and agreed contracts are executed. The incumbent will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager based at Head Office.

Key Performance Areas

• Administers procurement contracts entered into by the company and ensures compliance with commercial provisions of the contracts.
• Liaises with user departments on compliance with technical provisions of contracts.
• Tracks the procurement plan and reports on progress as required
• Liaises with Users/Project Managers to discuss progress of the contract/project and addresses any issues that arise
• Liaises with the Section Head Purchasing and Buyers on progress of tenders to ensure that they are processed on time as per the ZPC procurement plan
• Ensures contracts are signed on time and distributed as required.
• Keeps record of contract documentation
• Attends contract negotiation committee meetings
• Attends to contract variation related issues and participate in resolving such issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• 3 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage

Essential Competencies

• Proficiency in MS Excel or MS Project
• Knowledge of contract administration and planning is essential.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures
• Report writing Skills
