Duties and Responsibilities

The Ward Development Coordinator is a cadre in the Ministry at Ward level whose key responsibilities and duties include:

• Coordinating Ministry programmes and projects that promote women empowerment, gender mainstreaming, community development, cooperative and SME development at ward level.
• Coordinating programmes, projects and activities being implemented by NGOs and CBOs at Ward level.
• Mobilizing communitiesfor community development programmes and projects.
• Coordinating and promotes basic skills training for communities.
• Coordinating implementation of the MSMEs programmes, projects and activities in communities in line with MSME policy.
• Promoting, coordinates and monitors innovative financing schemes for MSMEs in the communities.
• Coordinating training that support community entrepreneurship and small business growth.
• Facilitating provision of workspace and infrastructural facilities for local MSMEs.
• Disseminating statistical information of MSMEs, cooperatives and to other relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitating the participation of cooperatives and MSMEs at local, District, Provincial and national level programs.
• Generating monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 0′ Level passes
• A high degree of maturity, self-discipline, initiative and creativity
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to write reports
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be computer literate
