Croco Motors, one of Zimbabwe’s leading automotive groups, is looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role requires a strong accounting background, hands-on experience with management accounts, and a deep understanding of statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update branch ledgers and financial records

• Prepare bank, receivables, and payables reconciliations

• Generate monthly financial statements and management accounts

• Conduct daily banking of cash receipts and reconcile accordingly

• Monitor cash flows and prioritize payments to ensure liquidity

• Handle budget preparation, monitoring, and evaluation

• Liaise with banks, ZIMRA, and other regulatory bodies through professional correspondence

• Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, QPDs, PAYE, Withholding Tax)

• Manage debtors, ensuring timely collections and account updates

• Capture and analyze cost information to support pricing and profitability assessments

• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

• Drive adherence to internal financial controls, systems, and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• A Degree in Accounting or related discipline

• Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CIS (completed or in progress)

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in management accounting

• Proven experience in statutory returns and financial reporting

• Proficiency with Pinnacle, Microsoft Excel, and Word

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently and under pressure
