Zuva Petroleum invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of a Boilermaker based in Harare, reporting to the Projects and Maintenance Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures, boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform welding, cutting, bending, and shaping of metal components.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plant and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance.
- Conduct preventative and routine maintenance in line with maintenance schedules.
- Receives and verifies breakdown maintenance works via the help desk.
- Conducts risk assessments prior to repair works in line with SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Checks and follows up breakdown closures by contractors daily.
- Carry out bi-annual inspections, completes checklists and submits to Projects and Maintenance Engineer in line with the Engineering preventive maintenance plan and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- A National Diploma in Machine Shop Engineering from a recognized institution.
- A valid Class 1 Journeyman Boilermaker Certificate.
- Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in a Boilermaker position.
- Experience in working with hydrocarbons, Aviation and LPG operations is desirable.
- Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements.
- Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
