Assistant Project Officer (Voluntary position) – Access to Justice for Girls and Women with Disabilities: Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe

Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate and facilitate support to survivor girls and women with disabilities in line with accessing post-violence services. This includes ensuring that all cases received are properly and promptly attended to and receives customized assistance as necessary per each case until their conclusion;
- To create and maintain a complete database of survivors assisted by the Access to Justice for GWWD projects (UNTF funded). This includes creating and regularly updating the individual case files and gathering feedback from beneficiaries and other stakeholders;
- Ensuring that Provincial Coordinators (Team Leaders) from POs and Field/District Volunteers (Officers) submit monthly financial and narrative reports about the project and synthesize them into one report;
- To contribute to the compilation of the project Quarterly, Bi-annual and Annual Reports including providing the necessary data to Project Officer and M&E Officer as accurate as possible;
- To spearhead strategies for improving project reach and visibility i.e. for instance preparing bulletins for the social media about the project, organizing or participating in relevant public events like awareness campaigns and commemorations etc;
- To assist the Project Officer and Programmes Manager in planning and implementation of all other project activities at national level; To ensure that the Victim Friendly Sub Committee meetings are attended for all the sub-committees;
- To attend other relevant stakeholder meetings such as Child Protection Committee meetings and any other activities deemed useful by the organization in raising awareness about the project;
- To attend to any other professional and ethical duties as may be assigned by the superiors
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- At least a first Degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or other relevant social studies; Knowledge in project planning, monitoring and report writing;
- At least 1 year post graduate working experience implementing similar work;
- Good command of Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel;
- Must be a team player who can work collaboratively internally with other departments and programmes and externally with other stakeholders;
- Must demonstrate and model values consonant to the child welfare sector; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and to perform multi-tasks;
- Qualified females with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
