Hwange Colliery Company Limited Holdings is a diversified mid-tier company with interests in Mining, Real Estate, Healthcare, Agriculture, Energy, and Financial Services. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Assistant Auditor to join our audit team under the Hwange Mining and Processing Company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring audit professional to gain valuable experience within a large, multi-sector organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including risk assessment and audit testing

• Conduct fieldwork activities such as data collection, analysis, and control testing

• Document audit findings, identify internal control weaknesses, and recommend improvements

• Prepare and maintain audit documentation, including audit plans, workpapers, and final reports

• Liaise with internal departments to obtain relevant data and clarify audit findings

• Support other audit-related tasks as delegated by supervisors

Candidate Profile

• A mature, ethical individual with a strong attention to detail

• Capable of working independently and within a collaborative team environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Minimum Age: 21 years

• Must have no criminal record

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field

• Professional certification in accounting or auditing (e.g. ACCA, CISA, CIMA) is an added advantage

• 1–2 years’ experience in internal or external auditing, preferably within a mining or industrial setting

• Strong understanding of auditing standards, compliance laws, and regulations

• Familiarity with IBMS Management Systems is desirable
