Aircraft Quality Assurance Engineer

Reporting to the Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader, the incumbent will have a key role in quality assurance within the Aircraft Management Organisation.

Main Responsibilities
 Managing regulatory compliance and associated approvals.
 Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all regulatory, legislative and certification bodies on matters concerning compliance.
 Maintaining the effectiveness and compliance of the company’s Quality Management System.
 Establishing and maintaining an effective audit program and quality awareness program.
 Managing the implementation of an effective control process for quality documents and systems.

 Coordinating the provision of a management review process.
 Providing a means of monitoring and analysing the status of the Quality Management System.
 Complying with all quality assurance standards as provided for by the Civil Aviation of Zimbabwe.

Minimum Requirements
 A Degree or Diploma in Aircraft Engineering or related field.
 Minimum of 5 years of aviation experience in quality assurance.
 Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gages, bore gauges, and dial indictors. Good manual dexterity and adept in use of precision measuring tools.
 Knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality management systems.
 Working knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102.
 Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices, Metrics and Reporting.
