ACCOUNTS CLERK: GRADE 6 – Muzarabani Rural District Council 391 views

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all Council revenue is invoiced
• Ensuring all previous day receipts are checked, mastered and banked intact on a daily basis
• Daily updating of cashbooks
• Daily updating capture all transactions in the computerized accounting system and ensure all receipts are matched to relevant invoices
• Maintaining and updating of accounts receivables
• Following up on all council debtors and revenue collections
• Compiling payment vouchers for payment
• Effecting payments via cash or bank transfers
• Ensuring all disbursed funds are acquitted accordingly
• Receipting and banking
• Assisting in the preparation of bank reconciliations

Requirements

• A Diploma in Accounting is required. A Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, CIS, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Sage Pastel Evolution is a must
• At least one year experience in a Council set up
