The above vacancy has arisen at a leading Insurance Company that educates and tailor makes products that address the variety of risks offered by the diverse nature of their clients. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate, shall be expected, inter alia, to discharge the following major responsibilities:

Key Functions:
⦁ Ensures completeness and accuracy of accounting data capture consistentwith international accounting standards.
⦁ Recommends and implements internal controls.
⦁ Prepares budgets and forecasts in line with company strategy ensuring thatresources are allocated efficiently.
⦁ Provide detailed monthly management accounts for decision making within set deadlines.
⦁ Provide periodic consolidation packs and other reports for Head Office.
⦁ Compiles stakeholderretumsfor IPEC, ZIMRA, NSSA, ICZ, etc.
⦁ Collects premiums from brokers, agents and direct clients in line with agreed terms.
⦁ Allocates funds for payment of reinsurers, claims and service providers.
⦁ Supervises claim recoveries from reinsurers and third parties
⦁ Ensures that bank reconciliations are done for all bank accounts.
⦁ Co-ordinates internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience:
⦁ A degree in Accounting from a reputable institution.
⦁ CIS, ACC A or other professional qualifications will be considered.
⦁ At least three years of senior managerial experience in accounting.
⦁ A team player with good communication, computer and analytical skills.
