VACANCY
A newly formed farmer’s company based in Masvingo involved in stimulating the commercialization of smallholder agriculture and commodity trading is looking for the services the listed personnel.

Finance and Administration Officer

Duties

  • Ensure company financial viability through implementation of adequate
    financial accounting systems and correct accounting procedures
  • Develop financial procedures manual
  • Preparation of financial statements and reports to achieve goals as set by the board
  • Make orders of supplies and maintain company inventory
  • Develop a comprehensive financial and audit trail system for the company
  • Administer the purchase of agro commodities from smallholder farmers
  • Maintaining farmer database on bought commodities and inputs sold or
    advanced on credit
  • Develop strategies to increase company’s revenue and advise the technical team on costing and pricing
  • Make sure stakeholders understand the financial principles of the company and can access relevant documents through the correct channels
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive human resources policy and administer all human resources issues
  • Carry out all administrative duties which include but not limited to: maintaining office assets, transport management, payroll administration, debtors and creditors control, annual accounts, statutory payments

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum of a diploma/HND or degree in accounting, finance, business studies or any other relevant commercial qualification
  • Computer literacy and high proficiency in MS Excel and ability to use at least one accounting package
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and be a self-starter
  • At least two years with a professional company with traceable references

Benefits/Remuneration

  • A gross salary of US$630 per month
