VACANCIES NOTICE
The main objective of this position is to promote effective and efficient debt management in Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying changes in socio-economic environment and propose action to avert losses.
- Analysing debt and recommending appropriate action to management.
- Assist in accounting activities which include financial management, debt management and banking.
- Submit reports to Executive Officer Finance on debt management
- Initiates legal proceedings if the debts are not paid within the agreed timeframe
- Reconciling debtor’s account and resolving debtors account queries.
Requirements
- A minimum HND or degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
- At least three years relevant experience in a public sector environment
- A clean record of service.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection.
- Membership of a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A clean Class 4 driver’s license
