AFC Land & Development Bank is seeking a visionary and results-driven leader to spearhead its special projects and agronomic advisory initiatives. As the Head of Special Projects & Agronomy, you will lead high-impact agricultural development projects that advance productivity, food security, and national agricultural strategies. You will report directly to the Managing Director.

This is a senior executive opportunity for someone passionate about driving systemic agricultural transformation through strategic project design, implementation, and innovation.


🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of high-priority special projects aligned with national agricultural goals.

  • Supervise agronomic advisory services and champion sustainable agricultural practices.

  • Formulate strategies to support agricultural productivity and food security.

  • Develop robust monitoring frameworks and reporting systems for effective governance and impact measurement.

  • Engage with key stakeholders—farmers, agribusinesses, policymakers, and development partners—to align project deliverables.

  • Guide policy and technology adoption by staying informed on agri-trends, research, and best practices.

  • Provide strategic technical support across agricultural value chains.


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or related field (required).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or similar.

  • Project Management Certification (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years experience in executive-level project management, preferably in the agriculture sector.

  • Track record in multi-stakeholder engagement and delivering complex, high-value projects.

  • Strong leadership, data analysis, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Skilled in project management tools and software.
