SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Duties 

• Implementing new software requirements as directed by the IT Manager
• Seamless deployment of software patches
• Interpreting devices logs and taking requisite action
• Configuring and optimising Apache Tomcat 6. JDK/JRE on Windows/Linux

Person Specification 

• The ideal person must hold a Degree in Computer Science with at least 5 years’ experience.

Skills Required

• Java ( Strong in Concurrency/Multithreading. Collections, Socket programming)
• JDBC API
• RESTful Web Services, JSON, Jersey framework
• Jasper Reports
• Servlets, JSP. Struts 1.x, Tomcat 6
• MySQL development
• MSSQL development

• C#, Windows Form Development Debugging and Troubleshooting skills
• IntelliJ/ Eclipse expertise
• Good report-writing skills
• Exposure to Linux is an added advantage
• Exposure to Wireshark is an added advantage
• Exposure to Windows Mobile Embedded 6.5 platform
