MCLD is seeking a Regional Coordinator to strengthen its network and deepen connections, collaboration and collective action across Asia and the Pacific.
The position is focused on relationship and movement building , connecting people and ideas, strengthening collective agency, supporting National Associations and creating conditions for members and community leaders to shape the network and influence wider systems.
The role is preferably based in Nepal or Sri Lanka , although strong candidates based elsewhere in Asia may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships across National Associations, grassroots organizations, movements and allies.
- Support groups exploring or developing National Associations.
- Facilitate regional learning and peer exchange.
- Create opportunities for community and civil society leaders to shape conversations and influence decisions.
- Build relationships with policymakers, researchers and other allies.
- Connect National Associations with the MCLD Secretariat and wider network.
- Identify funding opportunities and contribute to fundraising and partnership development.
- Maintain useful information on regional relationships, initiatives and learning.

Requirements
- Experience in network and movement building, particularly with grassroots, community-based or civil society organizations in Asia and/or the Pacific.
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to equity, social justice, Community-led Development and decolonizing approaches.
- Political and contextual understanding of development, humanitarian and civil society systems in the region.
- Strong communication and synthesis skills.
- Strong cultural sensitivity and the ability to work across countries and time zones.
- A collaborative, self-directed and adaptive approach.
- Excellent English; additional relevant regional languages are strongly preferred.
- At least five years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region and occasionally internationally.
