Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of the annual organisational budget.
- Prepare financial forecasts, management accounts, and performance reports.
- Monitor departmental expenditure and recommend cost control measures.
- Analyse financial performance and budget variances.
- Support the Chief Finance Officer in preparing Board reports and executive presentations.
- Lead revenue assurance initiatives and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial obligations, including VAT and withholding tax.
- Manage project budgets, expenditure, profitability, and financial reporting.
- Maintain the organisational asset register and oversee asset verification and depreciation.
- Partner with departmental managers on financial planning and investment decisions.
- Improve financial systems, governance, controls, and reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CIS, CA(Z), or equivalent (added advantage).
- 5-7 years’ relevant experience in management accounting, budgeting, costing, financial planning, or corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, management reporting, statutory compliance, financial modelling, and revenue assurance.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience using integrated financial systems and advanced spreadsheet modelling.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
