Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Develop and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and tax obligations.
• Support business units with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic financial advice to Executive Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years’ experience in mining and project management and finance leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and taxation requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Sound understanding of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance.
• Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms.
