We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, performing month-end closures, and maintaining robust internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Management of the general ledger, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, Income Tax, and PAYE filings.
- Coordinating internal and external audit processes.
- Assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis to support departmental decision-making.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
