JOB DESCRIPTION
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions of VIRTUAL CENTER OFFICER which have arisen within the Judicial Service Commission. The Commission is a
dynamic organization that comprises of competent and professional staff. The incumbent will be stationed at the Judicial Service Commission-Secretariat.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Virtual Center Officer will assist the Head of IT and Records Management to:
- Schedule virtual court hearing and ensure there is good connectivity between Court and the Prison.
- Work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization;
- Organize Managers’ calendars;
- Train Court Recorders and other members of staff on the virtual courts system as necessary;
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
COMPETENCES AND SKILLS FOR THE POST
The person must possess:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent;
- 1-2 years’ work experience as Network Administrator, IT Support or similar role;
- A strong understanding of Computer Network Infrastructure;
- An ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices;
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols;
- Knowledge of current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services and VoIP;
- Knowledge of online scheduling (e.g. Google Calendar, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc);
- Excellent phone, email and instant messaging communication skills;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
