A progressive and high-performing gold mining operation is seeking to appoint an experienced and results-driven Underground Mine Manager to lead underground mining operations and drive safe, efficient, and sustainable production performance within a demanding gold mining environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of underground mining activities to achieve production and development targets
- Manage underground extraction processes including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, ore handling, and mine development
- Drive operational efficiency, production optimisation, and cost control initiatives while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure full compliance with SHE policies, statutory mining regulations, and zero-harm safety standards
- Oversee underground ventilation, ground support systems, workplace inspections, and safe working conditions
- Coordinate effectively with geology, engineering, technical services, and SHE departments to ensure operational alignment
- Lead, mentor, and manage mining teams while promoting accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering or related mining discipline with relevant statutory mining certifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior underground mining management within underground gold mining operations
- Proven experience in underground production, mine development, SHE management, operational planning, and team leadership.
Salary
Gross Salary USD 2,500.00, Medical Aid and Funeral Cover paid at 75% by the Employer, Motor Vehicle and Fuel Allowance, Monthly Performance-Based Bonus
