The Sports and Recreation Commission Zimbabwe (SRC) is recruiting suitably qualified and experienced candidates for three job vacancies at its Head Office in Harare.

The Sports and Recreation Commission was created by an Act of Parliament, the Sports and Recreation Commission Act Chapter 25:15 of 1991 .

It is an arm of Government mandated to oversee the development and running of sport and recreation activities in Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Sport Development Officer will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and evaluation of sport development projects, as well as the monitoring of sport development programmes aimed at increasing participation, improving performance, and sustainable sport development nationwide in line with SRC policies and national objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Sport Management, Sport and Recreation, Sports Science, or a related sport development qualification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sport development, sports administration, programme management, or a related field.
  • Sound understanding of sport development principles and athlete participation pathways.
