Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain survey control networks in accordance with mine standards.
• Conduct pit surveys, volume calculations, and monthly reconciliations.
• Provide accurate survey data for mine planning and operational purposes.
• Monitor mining progress and report deviations from approved designs.
• Produce survey plans, reports, and statutory plans.
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration standards are adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety regulations.
• Supervise and develop survey personnel.
• Support operational and technical services teams with survey information.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Surveying.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in open pit mining, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in mine surveying software.
• Experience with modern survey equipment including Total Station and GPS.
• Drone survey experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
