ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Project Management Consultant will provide independent project management, procurement oversight, budget control, contractor management and quality assurance services to our clients across schools, businesses, NGOs, churches and infrastructure projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards while safeguarding client interests.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution and completion of projects in line with scope, time, cost and quality objectives.
- Prepare project plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts and risk management plans.
- Manage procurement processes ensuring competitive quotations, supplier verification and cost efficiency.
- Oversee labour outsourcing, contractor performance and site supervision.
- Monitor project finances, budgets and cash flow, ensuring strict cost control.
- Certify payments based on verified work, materials and delivery.
- Provide regular progress, financial and risk reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, standards, safety and quality requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Building Technology or Architecture.
- Master’s Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, MBA or Procurement & Supply Chain Management – an advantage.
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
- CIPS Level 4-6 (Procurement & Supply).
- RICS membership or equivalent – an advantage.
- Registration with Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (where applicable).
- Minimum 8-10 years’ progressive experience in project management, procurement and contract administration.
- Proven track record managing projects (schools, commercial, residential, industrial, NGOs, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, procurement processes and contract administration.
- Budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
- Stakeholder management, negotiation and communication.
- Leadership, problem solving, analytical thinking and decision making.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel (advanced) and reporting tools.
