Senior Accountant

Rainforest Trust seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant position reports directly to the CFO and helps manage a growing portfolio of project accounts.

We are an efficient organization, earning the top 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Successful candidates for the position will work under the supervision of the Africa Conservation Director.

This position will be full-time and based in our office in Warrenton, Virginia.

Principal Duties:

Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and
ledger maintenance
Prepare accurate, timely financial reports
Analyze financial statements and balance sheet
Compile and maintain various audit schedules and reports

Qualifications and Skills Preferred:

Ideally a CPA and/or BA in Accounting
5+ years hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a non-profit
Multi-level financial reporting experience
Excel proficiency and job costing experience
Audit experience
