Security Guards – Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company
Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC), is a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe. Pursuant to resourcing its expansion projects in line with the Diamond Mining Business Model (DMBM), ZCDC seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following position that has arisen within the organisation:
Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:
• Providing physical security coverage to the entire mine to ensure a secure operating environment.
• Preventing and protecting Company assets againsttheft, damage or wastage.
• Enforcing Security rules, procedures and policies.
• Conducting searches of people, employees, packages and vehicles to secure Company assets.
• Controlling the movement of visitors, employees, products, assets and vehicles into, out of and within the Company premises.
• Conducting patrols and carrying out inspections of all areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, gates, offices and buildings.
• Reporting and recording any incidence of theft, intrusions or any other security violations.
• Generating written reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• 5’0′ Level passes including English.
• Basic Security Guard Training Certificate.
• 5 years’ minimum experience in a security related environment.
• Experience in National Security – ZRP, ZNA and ZPS is an added advantage.
• Investigation skills are an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
